At Triplex Sales, we are passionate about not only the products and solutions we deliver to our customers, but also how our partners use those products to create incredible products. One of our favorite products that we help our partners make is beer. We like beer not only because it tastes great and is incredibly refreshing while sitting in the bleachers at Wrigley on a warm summer day, but also because what many of the craft brews we drink represent.
Craftsmanship. Quality. Purpose. Community.
These are the same principles that guide us at Triplex.
Many of the craft brewers we support are not only our customers, but our friends. And the products we help them make and forums they provide to consume them bring people and communities together.
So every Friday, we’ll be sharing our top craft beer picks for the weekend. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
Beer #1- Urban Brew Labs Hazy River

We love this beer! Loaded with Citra, Mosiac, Idaho 7 and centennial hops, this hazy IPA comes in at 6.5% ABV. Juicy and medium bodied, it’s the perfect balance of color, aroma, and just the right amount of bitterness. Urban Brew Labs consistently puts out some of the top IPAs in the Chicago Beer. Having recently opened their flagship tap room in the Ravenswood neighborhood, we can’t think of a better way to celebrate their success than having a few Hazy Rivers this weekend
Beer #2- Hop Butcher for the World Loophole Technicality

Another massive hazy double IPA, Hop Butcher for the World packs massive amounts of Amarillo, Strata, & Galaxy into this 7.5% double IPA. One of my favorite brews from them, this batch is outstanding. Huge tropical mango gives way to a smooth juicy and a pleasant dank finish. Another awesome brew from Hop Butcher for the World.
Beer #3- Dovetail Helles Lager

A few years back, we gave a talk at the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild annual conference. A few gentleman from Dovetail came up and asked us some great questions about their Centrifugal pump seals and we’ve been huge fans of their beer ever since. Their Helles comes in at 4.4% ABV and is the perfect beer for the crosstown classic. The malt shines and is refreshingly floral. An incredible lager beer.
Beer #4- Revolution VSOJ (2021)

In Chicago, it’s always big beer season. And few brews are bigger than this one. Very Special Old Jackect is a cuvee of English Barley Wines barrel aged between 2-4 years in Revolution’s best bourbon barrels. It checks in at an amazing 15% ABV. Huge caramel nose with some bourbon heat, a dry complex body, this beer finishes with sweet toffee. We were lucky enough to score a four pack and it’s absolutely incredible. If you’re lucky enough to stumble across one, savor it.
So there is our first Friday Four Pack. We hope you enjoyed reading about these beers as much as we enjoyed drinking and drinking about them. And we’d love to hear what you’re enjoying this weekend, so comment below!
We will continue to share the best beers we’re drinking every week as well as more about the other incredible products our business partners are producing. We hope you enjoy it.
