What do the Dots on my Sanitary Gaskets Mean? Your Guide to Always Knowing what Material your Gasket is.

As a maintenance leader, have you ever had to reorder a gasket but not been totally sure what material it is? While many sanitary elastomeric materials are the same in appearance, most manufacturers throughout the industry designate gaskets and o-rings with color coded dots to call out what material the product is made from. The below chart shows the most common materials we see:
